rathmir @ : A course of action
Rathmir after thinking for many long hours and coming to no answers as to why Lord Erestor asked him (of all people) for names has decided that he must know. In fact, so long and hard has he thought that he has carved a small herd of horses of all shapes and sizes that he intends to paint as soon as he has time enough to do so. And so, curious and more than a trifle uncomfortable; Rathmir decides to ask him himself.
Knocking on the councillors' study door, he can't help but fidgit as he waits. While attempting to pick the leaves out of his unfortunately unbrushed hair, that he has only just come to realise are still roosting there from his numerous trips outside to his 'thinking trees'; even in the heavy snow.
After awakening from a much-needed rest in the bedchambers so graciously offered to her by Lord Elrond, Alassiel dressed in a better gown than the one she'd worn when arriving in this realm, her cloak and cowl pulled on and up, hiding her head and face as is her strange fashion. She tidies up the sleeping quarters carefully, as is her habit, not waiting for some inevitable servant to come up and do it for her. As a guest in this place, she treads with utmost care to remain most unobtrusive.
Quietly, she slips from the wing that holds her quarters from the previous night and down in the direction leading past Elrond's study, stiffening with embarrassment as she passes Rathmir. Alassiel pauses, offering him a bow of greeting and her eyes remain glued to the floor, silently regretting the discomfort he must have felt upon being confronted by Elrond in the stables the other night.

Rathmir bites his lip as he sees Alassiel, he had meant to check up on how she was earlier but firstly the fact that he'd wanted to maneuver quickly away from Lord Elrond and the potential for questions to be asked and secondly he'd forgotten and had been trying to work up the courage to visit Lord Erestor for a while so, while he had the courage...
He smiles though, as friendly a smile as possible while as nervous as he is. "How are you Alassiel? I hope Lord Elrond made certain that you were alright. I'd actually meant to come and see you earlier to see if you were but, well." He opens his palm to show her his ever growing collection of leaves and two small wooden ponies. "I sort of got side tracked; and well, forgot. So I'm sorry."
Slowly, the obscured she-Elf shakes her head, staring down at the floor modestly, embarrassed at Rathmir's apology and wondering how it is she manages to continue to make herself a subject for worry even as a relatively silent stranger in this House.
"No apologies are needed, Rathmir. I thank you for thinking of me. Lord Elrond has been very kind and welcoming. Both you and he have put some ease in my heart upon coming to this place."

"I'm glad to hear it." Rathmir grins lopsidedly. "Alassiel...after I've finished here, would you... like a tour of the valley? I doubt I'd be a good guide but I can't be worse than some of the others. Unless you don't want to that is."
ooc: *points up the message board* Yikes, better finish here quickly! :)
